45 HP Case Steam Engine
Beginning production in 1898 Case introduced the popular 15 HP steam traction engine with a 9X10 engine proper. It wasn't until 1910 the 15 HP steamer became widely known as the 45 HP, one of the factors in the rating change was achieved by raising the steam pressure from 130 to 140 PSI. Ending production in 1912 it is stated that Case built 5,367 of these engines and in 1911 this 45 sold for $1,520 F.O.B. Racine, Wisconsin.
